Even before the Miami GP race was underway, there was already jeopardy for Carlos Sainz. However, he didn’t need to worry as Charles Leclerc jumped to his teammate’s rescue.

As the tradition goes in F1, drivers need to come out to have the drivers’ parade ahead of the race. However, as per a video by Ferrari News from the Miami International Autodrome race, the Spanish driver’s chauffeur was missing.

Having seen his teammate in trouble, the Monegasque jumped in the car to be the chauffeur for his teammate. Leclerc, whose gamble didn’t pay off, got inside the red Ferrari that was designated for the 28-year-old driver for the parade.

As the fans saw the 25-year-old coming up and saving his teammate’s day, they shared the video on the internet, and it became an instant hit. This shows even when the team is in jeopardy; the bromance is spot on between Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.

Leclerc and Sainz asked for a massive review post-Miami GP

The driver duo from the Italian team asked for an internal review and emphasized hard work to return from the debacle they were in.

Talking about this in the post-race interview, the Spanish driver said that the team and the drivers are currently in the middle of a learning process. They are trying to find out why the SF-23s are fit for the qualification but struggle in the race.

As per Ferrari News, Leclerc added that they need to find a solution to their inferior race pace. The team back in Maranello needs to work hard and find where they are currently lacking.

How did Ferrari fare in Miami GP?

The Prancing Horse didn’t have a good field day in Miami. In a venue where they picked up two podiums last year with P2 and P3, they failed to repeat the feat.

Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc, who started the race from P3 and P7, respectively, only managed a P5 and P7 finish at the Miami International Autodrome.

Unable to improve by a huge margin, the Prancing Horse are still behind their primary rivals, Mercedes and Aston Martin. The Maranello-based team is in P4 with 78 points, which is 24 and 18 points less than the British and the German team.
