While Ferrari Gave $1,049,630 Worth Cars to Their Drivers, Lewis Hamilton Was Resorted to $188,760 AMG for Travel to Zandvoort's Paddock

Big F1 Constructors such as Mercedes and Ferrari provide their drivers with luxurious cars for them to arrive at the Grand Prix venue in style. Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc got a Ferrari SF90 Stradale each worth $524,815. Together they are worth over $1,049,630, and both drivers used it to travel to Zandvoort for the Dutch GP. At the same time, Lewis Hamilton drove in a Mercedes EQS AMG, which is worth around $188,760, as per Kym Illman.

Admittedly, most teams, big or small, provide their drivers with company cars. For example, Mercedes and Ferrari give their drivers their own cars, and Red Bull and AlphaTauri use Honda’s cars [due to their links with the Japanese giants]. Recently, however, the Austrian team has been using Ford cars.

Besides, teams like Alpine, Aston Martin, and Alfa Romeo also provide the drivers with their own cars. This is usually done for commercial and endorsement purposes. Thus, it is understandable that both Ferrari and Mercedes had different commercial purposes with their respective racing icons at Zandvoort.

Illman revealed the entire list of drivers with different cars

Illman in his recent YouTube video talked about what cars F1 stars drove to the Zandvoort circuit ahead of the Dutch GP. He began with the AlphaTauri duo of Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda who arrived in a Honda Civic Type R.

Following this, he mentioned Nico Hulkenberg and Oscar Piastri who all arrived in individual Volvo XC90. Illman also spoke about McLaren’s Lando Norris who arrived in a Mercedes GLE 350 E, with his family.

Alpine drivers Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon arrived in a Renault Austral. Ultimately, Mercedes driver George Russell and Hamilton drove to the circuit in a Mercedes-AMG EQS 580.

Admittedly, this was one of the instances when the Silver Arrows did not provide their star driver with a top-end variation. Nevertheless, the Brackley-based team usually makes sure that they treat Hamilton to their best machines.

Lewis Hamilton and his host of Mercedes cars

Lewis Hamilton recently got hold of two Mercedes AMG ONE hypercars. It is a limited edition car and only 275 of them will be made. Each unit costs around $2.7 million and Hamilton being a Mercedes loyalist, got his hands on one of them.

The seven-time world champion also has special access to new Mercedes cars and launches. Furthermore, he was even allowed to test one of their cars. It was the upcoming Mercedes AMG GT worth of $186,500.

All in all, Lewis Hamilton has multiple cars belonging to the German giants. He has been with the Silver Arrows since 2013, and his association with the team ha been fruitful, both on and off the track.
