Five IPL legends who might be playing their last season

1) CHRIS GAYLE

Christopher Henry Gayle has been an enigma and has made IPL his own playground. Smashing all kinds of bowlers out of the park is what he is known for. However, he has had a terrible season this year with RCB and has been dropped from the squad on many occasions. He has only hit 1 fifty this year and has looked like a pale shadow of his former self. He misfired for KKR in the first 3 seasons. He went unsold in 2011 and came in as a replacement for injured Dirk Nannes to RCB. Since then, he has absolutely launched himself and won a huge number of matches forming lethal partnerships with Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers.

However, the 37 year old Jamaican is in the twilight of his career and we may be seeing the last of him in the IPL this year. He has over 10,000 runs in T20 cricket. He has scored 3578 runs in the IPL alone hitting a mammoth 262 sixes which is the highest by a huge margin. He is also the 7th highest run getter in the IPL in all 10 seasons. Gayle has been a legend in his own right but the Universal Boss might not find a franchise for himself in the mega auction of 2018 and it seems RCB are also not too interested in buying him back or retaining him. If this is indeed his last season, we are definitely going to miss his huge sixes and hard-hitting. His 175 will probably remain the highest individual score in the IPL forever. Gaylestorm will never be forgotten.
