Apex Legends Arsenal gameplay trailer out now: All Ballistic abilities revealed
A brand new gameplay trailer for Apex Legends Arsenal has just dropped. The two-and-a-half-minute trailer details all the new additions to the season including features like weapon mastery. A massively revamped firing range awaits players in the new season for players to acquaint themselves with the game mechanics. A few of Ballistic’s abilities were also previewed alongside some gameplay on the new World’s Edge map.
Ballistic can carry an additional weapon in Apex Legends Arsenal
Here’s a summary of Ballistic’s abilities:
Passive Ability: Sling
Much like Vantage, Ballistic can store an additional weapon. However, he isn’t limited to a sniper and can choose the weapon he wants. Players can access it via their inventory or the Character Utility Action. However, weapons placed in the Sling cannot take any attachments.
Tactical Ability: Whistler
Turn the tides with ‘Whistler’ by firing a projectile that overheats an enemy’s gun. This also deals damage to the weapon carrier. Holding onto the Tactical button will lock onto enemies.
Ultimate Ability: Tempest
Ballistic is the ultimate team player with this ability. When his ult is active, nearby teammates get buffs to their abilities. Teammates get faster reloads, faster unarmed movement speeds, and infinite ammo. For a limited time, the weapon placed in the sling will also be upgraded to gold rarity.
What else is new in Season 17?
One of the largest changes in the new season is World’s Edge. The classic map has been extensively tweaked for a fresh experience. New POIs like Monument and Stacks will provide new avenues for rotations and early game strategies.
A Weapon Mastery system will be implemented this season, rewarding players for learning every weapon in the game. By getting kills, doing damage, and earning XP, players can work their way up to a legendary skin.
The new firing range provides a lot more valuable tools for practice. From bots that can shoot back to a 1v1 Duel Pit, players can practice a lot more situational scenarios. The new Vert Course also helps players get acquainted with movement in Apex Legends.
