Call of Duty: Warzone

Call of Duty: Warzone & Modern Warfare II’s anti-cheat mechanics haven’t been very effective since the titles’ inception. Both games have a rich history of cheating and hackers plaguing the Battle Royale gaming experience. Finally addressing this long-standing issue, the games’ developer, Infinity Ward, has recently ended over 14,000 players’ accounts.

Those who have or still play Warzone or Modern Warfare II know how it ruins the overall gaming experience. Most of you must likely have crossed paths with players using unfaithful tactics for competitive advantage. In fact, in the past, the renowned gamer Dr. Disrespect has also raised concerns about the inefficiency of the title’s anti-cheat engine, Ricochet.

Ricochet had a controversial debut back in 2021 when players complained of still encountering hackers and cheaters in the game. However, things improved gradually, with the anti-cheat improving over the months. Hence, now that Infinity Ward’s unforgiving action towards the dishonest ones is no doubt a relief to the players let’s dive further into it.

Call of Duty: Warzone & MW II’s new cheat detection system bans hackers

Coming up with a new cheat detection system, Infinity Ward is now targeting cheat developers at their source. Therefore, this ultimately led to a whopping 14000 accounts being banned within 24 hours. Moreover, the numbers will likely go further up in the coming weeks. Earlier today, the official Twitter page for all the Call of Duty-related updates and info, ‘Call of Duty Updates,’ mentioned the same.

Appreciating the developers’ efforts, the fans have expressed their opinions in the comments. Many are relieved and happy, believing it will eventually bring down the cheaters and hackers in both titles.

It’s a big win for Infinity Ward against all those who challenge Ricochet. In fact, in the coming months, the developers are also expected to address the problem where many players suddenly get shadow bans during gameplay.
