Heroic and Astralis to kick off their lower bracket run at the CS:GO BLAST Spring Groups

Heroic vs. Astralis kicks off today at 18:30 CET and the stakes are extremely high. The #1 team in the world, Heroic, will go up against their Danish counterparts who have just undergone a massive rebuild. The latter has brought back Device and a brand new team member in Buzz in the hopes of contending for championships.

On the other hand, Heroic is reeling from a disastrous final tournament in 2022. The BLAST World Final saw Heroic play with a stand-in but crash out in the group stage. Now, Heroic is fighting an uphill battle as it faces a trial by fire against Astralis.

The loser of this match will be sent to the Knockout Stage Round 1, putting them one step closer to elimination. The starting lineup for each team is as follows:

Heroic

  • Casper ‘cadiaN’ Møller
  • Martin ‘stavn’ Lund
  • Jakob ‘jabbi’ Nygaard
  • René ‘TeSeS’ Madsen
  • Rasmus ‘sjuush’ Beck

Astralis

  • Benjamin ‘blameF’ Bremer
  • Nicolai ‘device’ Reedtz
  • Lukas ‘gla1ve’ Rossander
  • Andreas ‘Xyp9x’ Højsleth
  • Christian ‘Buzz’ Andersen

Currently, Stavn is the highest-rated member on Heroic with a rating of 1.13 and blameF is the highest rated player for Astralis with a 1.32 rating.
