xQc has been one of the most prominent streamers on Twitter. Now, being a celebrity on Twitter means you have to have a blue tick, and the French-Canadian streamer has that. In a tweet to Twitter CEO, Elon Musk, xQc asked whether he could get the newly introduced “shiny yellow” tick.
For the unversed, Twitter introduced golden ticks to demarcate businesses from individual creators. Since Musk became the CEO, there has been a lot of controversy around the coveted ticks.

DrDisrespect reacts to xQc asking for a golden tick from Twitter CEO
HEY @elonmusk I’M “LIL BRO”, ALSO THE “HE DON’T KNOW YOU” GUY AND AND COMPLETE LOSER. MY BLUE CHECKMARK DRAMATICALLY LOST IT’S VALUE (-99%) IN THE LAST COUPLE MONTHS. WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE TO UPGRADE TO A SHINY YELLOW ONE PLEASE? I WILL CONTINUE PROVIDING NO VALUE TO YOUR SERVICE!

In a tweet addressing Elon Musk, xQc introduced himself and wrote his blue tick has lost a lot of value since the “shiny yellow” tick was introduced and asked whether he could have it. A lot of other internet personalities, including DrDisrespect chimed in and asked whether he could have one, too. He said:
“Same with me too Elon. I don’t have gold chains like X, but I do drive multiple Lamborghinis with gold interior stitching on my headrests. Plus I’m 6’8” and athletic as hell.”

The two popular streamers were giving away random details, joking about the cars they owned or how they are valuable. Other people with blue ticks also chimed in on the conversation.
One of the blue tick users replied to him saying: “I’m not important at all but me too, thanks Elon.”
Fans react to xQc’s demand for a “shiny yellow” tick
Fans of the streamer had fun explaining that the golden tick is for businesses and not for individual creators. Some also poked fun at him and his request. Here are a few reactions:
That’s not how it works, silly. The yellow checkmark is for businesses and companies, not for individuals and personalities. You’d have to register yourself as a business, which only works in very, very specific instances.

While Musk is yet to respond to xQc’s request, it would be fun to see what witty reply the CEO of Twitter comes up with in this regard.
