Warzone 2 Season 6 is out now and it has given us two new ranged weapons in the form of the ISO 9mm and TR-76 Geist. In this piece, we will break down the best class loadout for the ISO 9mm and see what it has to offer in comparison to other SMGs in Warzone 2.
The SMG meta in Warzone 2 has been balanced for the past couple of updates. Still, that does not stop players from having their own preferences. In fact, regular Warzone players have seen every SMG showcased in these weeks ranging from the Minibak to the ISO 45. However, we now have a new contender for the top spot of the meta.
Will this shake up the SMG meta or will things be the same as they were before the update? Let us analyze the ISO 9mm and see what it can offer as a primary or support weapon. Likewise, the Season 6 Patch notes mentioned that the ISO 9mm “excels in both close-quarters and mid-distance brawls,” and this article will find out how accurate that statement is.

The Best ISO 9mm Loadout in Warzone 2 Season 6
The ISO 9mm is a good SMG with a decent fire rate in comparison to the other SMGs. Just like every other SMG, it excels at close and mid-range gunfights. That is why, even though it is a good fit in the SMG category, the weapon is nothing to write home about. However, the actual appeal of this weapon is in its recoil control and mobility combo.
Similar to the ISO 45, the ISO 9mm is sure to have similar qualities making it a top contender in the SMG category. Well, let us see what we can make of this weapon, shall we?.
How to Unlock the ISO 9mm in Warzone 2
To unlock the ISO 9mm in Warzone 2 Season 6, you will need to complete the F4 Sector of the Battle Pass. It is a free weapon so it does not require you to purchase anything. However, you will need to complete the rest of the sections within that sector before you earn this weapon.
Attachment Breakdown
- Optic: Cronen Mini Pro
- Magazine: 50-Round Drum
- Ammunition: 9mm Hollowpoint
- Laser: VLK LZR 7mw
- Stock: Demo Fade Tac
This will be a simple class loadout which is going to boost the mobility and better the fundamentals. That is why, we are going to start off with the Cronen Mini Pro because it is perfect for an SMG. The simple reticle helps track enemies perfectly in close-quarters combat. Follow that up with the 50-Round Drum which is going to increase the likelihood of emerging victorious when facing two enemies at the same time.
The 9mm Hollowpoint is going to slow down our enemies and prevent them from escaping due to the power of the crippling power rounds. Similarly, the VLK LZR 7mw Laser is one of the best attachments for mobility increase. It increases the ADS and sprint-to-fire speed of the weapon and provides aiming stability as well. Lastly, we finish off the loadout with the Demo Fade Tac Stock.
The Demo Fade Tac stock will increase the aim walking speed and sprint speed of the weapon. This allows us to strafe better while ADSing and the sprint speed will better our chances against other SMG players. In conclusion, this loadout ensures that the weapon is faster than most of the other SMGs currently in the meta.
Secondary
The Secondary we are going to use in this loadout is a standard AR that is going to help us in medium to long-range gunfights. The best option we have right now is the Kastov 762 because things are still uncertain in the current meta. The Season 5 Reloaded patch made the Kastov 762 a go-to weapon in medium to long ranges. That is why, most players are still using it in Warzone 2.
Here is a go-to class setup that you can use for it.
- Optic: Aim Op V4
- Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
- Magazine: 40 Round Mag
- Muzzle: ZLR Talon 5
- Barrel: KAS-10 584mm Barrel
This loadout ensures that the recoil of the weapon is controllable and it is stable enough to face enemies in longer ranges. Plus, the weapon has enough firepower to face multiple enemies. As a matter of fact, you can use it to combat enemies where the range of the ISO won’t allow.
Perks and Equipment
Now, for the perks and equipment, we are going to use a standard mobility and survivability-based loadout which is recommended for aggressive SMG players. Take a look below.
- Base Perk 1: Overkill
- Base Perk 2: Double Time
- Bonus Perk: Fast Hands
- Ultimate Perk: High Alert
- Lethal Equipment: Throwing Knife
- Tactical Equipment: Flashbang
We start off with Overkill because it will let us carry the Kastov 762 as a secondary. Follow that up with Double time to lengthen the duration of our tactical sprint. In addition to that, Fast Hands will be extremely useful because we will be handling two weapons and will need faster switching. In addition, it increases the equipment use and reload speeds as well.
For the final perk, High Alert is a good choice because it tells us when an enemy has their eye on us. It is the best perk to use when ensuring survivability. For the Lethal equipment, we recommend running the Throwing Knife due to its one-shot capabilities. In addition to that, we also recommend running a Flashbang since it gives us an edge in gunfights.
Why You Should Use This Loadout
This loadout is the best one to use for the ISO 9mm because it provides a blend of speed and stability buffs. The loadout is catered to aggressive SMG players who can hold their own in sticky situations and emerge victorious. Moreover, for long-range firepower, we have the Kastov 762 which is stable and reliable.
Additionally, the perks listed above assist in aggressive gameplay and can help lock down enemies in an area by preventing escape. That is why you need to use this loadout since it perfects both long and short-range gunfights. As a bonus, the ISO 9mm shines in medium ranges as well and is the perfect close-combat weapon.
