Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Anedamimik Shrine

The shrines make their return in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. There are multiple shrines across the Hyrule Kingdom in the latest Zelda installment, much like in Breath of the Wild. So, here we shall learn everything there is to know about the Anedamimik Shrine.

Shrines are mini dungeon-like areas in Tears of the Kingdom, featuring various challenges such as puzzles and occasionally enemies to fight. Completing them provides fascinating rewards and the Light of Blessing to Link. The latter is a crucial item that boosts his health and stamina capacity. The shrine challenges also help the game’s silent hero in mastering his new Ultrahand.

Among the shrines included in the new Zelda game is the Anedamimik Shrine. Finding the way and solving the puzzle for this shrine could be challenging. However, fans must visit this place despite the difficulties since visiting all shrines would unlock the legendary Ancient Hero’s Aspect armor, which gives Link a +12 defensive bonus.

There are 152 shrines spread around the Hyrule Kingdom’s land and sky, making it difficult to find them all. But to visit the Anedamimik Shrine in East Necluda, Link should travel along the Hateno Coast to come across the Deepback Bay Cave. The exact coordinates for this location are 4233, -2175, -0012.

Zelda’s quiet hero would battle a couple of tough Horriblins near a pool there. But he must drain the water from the pool to access the shrine. Link must first go to the cavern below and beat a Like Like on the ceiling that would reveal a patch of stone there.

The protagonist then needs to shoot at that patch using arrows attached to Bomb Flowers found there. The crack in the ceiling would drain out the water in the pool above. Link then needs to ascend back and enter the Anedamimik Shrine.

How to complete the shrine challenge

Entering the Anedamimik Shrine would begin the “A Retraced Path” challenge. As the name implies, this shrine challenge is about returning something to where it was. Link would have to rely on his Ultrahand’s Recall ability for this. These are the following steps to complete this shrine challenge without any trouble:

  • Link must first activate an orange switch in the shrine, which controls the right wall. This would reveal the Treasure Chest on the right wall’s platform.

  • The Zelda protagonist then needs to run toward the Treasure Chest platform and use ascend ability to access the chest.

  • He then should return to the switch and hit it again to reset the right wall. Doing so would cause a big ball to come out of the shute on the right wall.

  • Link now has to use his Recall ability on the ball so it moves back toward the chute on the right wall.

  • After activating the Recall ability, Link should hit the orange switch again for the wall to rearrange. It would cause the ball to get into the socket instead of the chute, opening the way to the sigil room.
