Manchester United are reportedly working on a whooping 93 million pound bid for Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale as Jose Mourinho looks to add a fourth signing to his squad before the deadline ends this Thursday.

However,  Real Madrid President Perez will agree to sell the Welshman only if they are able to land a marquee signing before the summer transfer market closes.

News of Manchester United being linked to Gareth Bale is not new. For the past couple of seasons or so Bale has been constantly linked with a move away from the Bernabeu , as he struggled with injuries and form .

Bale had himself voiced his disapproval of the Bernabeu booing and jeering at him on several occasions over the past year or so.

After being sidelined much of Real Madrid’s successful campaign last season due to injury, he was recently booed again after Madrid’s 2-2 draw against Valencia earlier this Monday.

In spite of Zidane offering vocal support for Bale, the Bernabeu crowd has made no attempt to hide their opinions and prefers Isco and young Spanish sensation Marco Asensio over the Welshman , with the 28-yer-old having fallen down the pecking order.

Jose Mourinho is reportedly a fan of the Welsh superstar and wouldn’t mind bringing him to Old Trafford. In fact, prior to United’s 2-1 defeat against Real Madrid in the Super Cup Final back in August, Mourinho had expressed his desire in bringing Bale back to England. “Well, if he’s playing tomorrow I wouldn’t think of that.

If he’s playing tomorrow it’s because he’s in the coach’s and club’s plans and because he has ambition to continue at Real Madrid. I haven’t even thought of possibility of signing him.”, he said.

“If he’s not in the club’s plans and what you are writing is true, that the arrival of another player then Gareth would be on his way out of Real Madrid, I would try to be waiting for him on the other side and be fighting with the other coaches who would like to have him on their team.

If he plays it would be the best confirmation that he will be staying.”, he added.  Gareth Bale did play that game, but that did nothing to remove the speculation surrounding his future.

With Perez on the lookout for a marquee signing, a list that includes the likes of Mbappe, Greizmann and Dybala,  it is reported that Bale is ready to consider a move back to England.

The case of Gareth Bale will be interesting as we approach the end of this season’s summer transfer season and there could be a deadline scramble as clubs line up to rescue Bale out of his not-so-good recent experiences in Spain.
