Gareth Bale: Real Madrid boss shreds Real Madrid star to pieces following 2-0 defeat to Real Betis

Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has refused to join the teammates to thank the fans at Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid succumbed to yet another defeat this season. The Los Blancos were not able to overcome Real Betis at Santiago Bernabeu as they lost 2-0 in the final day of this season’s La Liga. Zinedine Zidane’s witchcraft has not come handy this time having lost their six out of the last eleven games in the Spanish top division.

When the Los Blancos won their fourth Champions League title in five years, Gareth Bale looked set to bid goodbye to Real Madrid. But, Zidane’s decision has made the former Tottenham Hotspur forward to stay at Santiago Bernabeu despite scoring twice in Kyiv last summer. It was a measure of relationship hindrance between those two stars. The same repeated while Real Madrid’s loss to Real Betis today, as Gareth Bale remained on the bench for the whole game.

It did not intend to be irreverence, but just solecism which will make the Welshman think deeply as he snubbed to thank the fans after the full-time whistle. Irrespective of the result, every player is regarded to step out and express their gratitude to the supporters for their subsistence throughout the season.

Despite the fact that he failed to engage with the fans, Zidane has made it crystal clear that Gareth Bale would not have been brought in even if there was an option for the fourth substitution. He described Bale as past, and maintained a stance about the future of the club.

“He [Bale] has won a lot here but we live for the present and the future. We will not forget the past but we have to live for day the day to day.”

I have counted on other players in more in recent weeks, and if I had a fourth substitute today I would not have brought him on. I make these decisions when it is right to do so, and I must act in the best interests of the team at all times.” said Zidane.

When pressed on whether he will be working with Bale again when the players are due to return for pre-season training on July 6, before the summer tour of North America, Zidane added: “I don’t know what will happen. Lately I have picked other players. Anything could happen.”

It is just a matter of time until Zinedine Zidane would be willing to listen to offers for Gareth Bale. The Welsh International has stated his desire to stay with the Los Blancos, but the landscape could change, given the current uneasy scenario. Tottenham Hotspur remain the only club to keep tabs on his future.

Here’s how Twitter reacted..
