Santa Monica is no stranger to marketing a game. To keep up the hype for its current masterpiece, they plan to release a New Game Plus. 2022 is coming to an end, and with its end comes great news for God of War fans. New Game Plus Confirmed for God of War Ragnarok; Check out Details Here

God of War Ragnarok will have New Game Plus from Spring 2023. This was announced from the Official Santa Monica Twitter Account on 22nd December. However, it is not coming sooner because the studio might have some other commitments. Although the game was critically acclaimed, there is no reason the studio should not look forward to the future.

Plus, incorporating New Game Plus is more challenging than most people think. The stats, weapons, armor relics, and more from the previous playthrough carry over to the new one, where the bosses are enemies and are more formidable. Santa Monica wants to take its time and make a New Game Plus that offers greater replayability for the people who buy the game even a year or two after release.

Santa Monica’s specialty is to provide full games without any microtransactions, and they thrive on it, which is why it is crucial to ensure that the post-game additions are just as good as the release date content. A New Game Plus will have players building a better Kratos, consisting of advanced armor modifications, maxed-out weapons, runic attacks, and more, thus letting gamers put in more hours.

There is no reason why Santa Monica should rush this process which is why the studio has given a Spring 20223 release timeline for it. Have you played God of War Ragnarok? What do you think of it? Let us know in the comments below!
