Despite being out for just a month, God of War Ragnarok has sent ripples through the industry. The follow-up to 2018’s reimagining of the God of War franchise has netted the game multiple accolades. While record-breaking sales were indicative of its success GoW: Ragnarok shone brightly at TGA 2022. The Santa Monica Studios-produced game was nominated for nine different categories and managed to win six of them.

Despite winning six titles, the ultimate ‘Game of the Year’ crown went to Elden Ring. As the closest competitor to Sony’s offering, Elden Ring managed to bag an impressive four awards as well. While God of War fans may have been a tad disappointed to see the GOTY title elude them, six wins are nothing to scoff at and paint a bright future for the franchise.
