Guardiola supports Mourinho: Manchester City’s manager Pep Guardiola has extended his support to the Portuguese.
Manchester United parted ways with Jose Mourinho two days after the club’s 3-1 loss to Liverpool. The Old Trafford side announced the departure of the manager through their social media handles, and published an official statement on their website.
They thanked him for his services in the statement, acknowledging the successes he achieved with Manchester United.
Jose Mourinho, in his time at Manchester United, won the club its first ever Europa League title, the EFL Cup and Community Shield in the 2016/17. United finished second in the table in Mourinho’s second season, but suffered a massive slump in form this year.
United are currently 6th in the table, with only 26 points from 17 games. As Jose Mourinho leaves Manchester United, managers of other league sides stand in solidarity with the Portuguese. After Pochettino talked about rumours of replacing the former boss, Pep Guardiola also talked about Mourinho.

“I am on his side,” Guardiola said.
The relationship between Paul #Pogba and José #Mourinho was destroyed by months. The decision to sack the Special One made clear the strategy of Man United: the club want to give confidence to Pogba, #MUFC are now absolutely convinced he’ll NOT be sold on next January. 🔴🇫🇷

“As managers, we are alone. They [clubs] contact us to try to win and when you don’t win I know what happens.”
The Manchester City manager stated that managers face a lot of pressure, and it could lead to isolation.
Not advocating Mourinho should have kept his job, but Manchester United could be on the brink of swapping a manager with 190 Premier League wins and 3 titles for a manager with just 3 Premier League wins and a relegation. Strange times #mufc

“I always say I am in the position of the manager and I know exactly what they can feel and always I am there because we feel alone. All the pressure is on our shoulders.
