How to Effectively Increase FPS in Valorant! Some Tips That will Help!

FPS is the most important part of Valorant. Every frame matters, the higher frames you have, the more smoother your gameplay. There are videos that show you the difference between higher and lower FPS, check them out if you are a beginner in terms of understanding the technicality of the game. The point is, a higher FPS is really important for you to be successful in the game. That is why, today we will be looking at some settings and tips to increase FPS in Valorant.

Here are the Settings You Can Use to Effectively Increase FPS in Valorant!

Before you go to increase the FPS of your game; make sure your PC meets the minimal requirements.

  • OS: Windows 7/8/10/11 64-bit
  • RAM: 4 GB or greater
  • Video RAM:  1 GB or greater
  • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 / AMD athlon 200GE
  • GPU: Intel HD 4000 / Radeon R5 200

Make sure your OS also supports Direct X11. If your monitor supports a higher refresh rate you can change it to make your FPS pop out. To do that, follow the steps below.

  • Right-click on your desktop and select Display Settings.
  • Go to Advanced Display Settings.
  • Scroll down to Refresh Rate and Change it if it is in a comparatively lower setting.

Change the In-Game Resolution and Settings

The best thing you can do to increase your FPS is to decrease your resolution and graphical setting of the game. Here are the settings you can implement to get a higher FPS.

  • Display Mode: Fullscreen
  • Resolution: Any Lower Resolution Should Work, we recommend going to 1280 x 720
  • All Limit FPS options: Off

Graphic Options

We will set all the graphic options to the lowest settings to optimize the FPS. A lot of pro players decrease the graphics so the processors can focus on performance rather than quality.

  • Multithreaded Rendering: Off
  • Material, Texture, UI, and Detail Quality: Low
  • Vignette: Off
  • VSync: Off
  • Anti-Aliasing: None
  • Anisotropic Filtering: 1x
  • Improve Clarity: Off
  • Experimental Sharpening: Off
  • Bloom, Distortion, and Cast Shadows: Off

In all essence, you need to ensure that everything is at its lowest for maximum frames. HOWEVER, if you have a good system with a better graphic card and a powerful processor, you can go ahead and take creative freedom of the graphical settings. Play around with it and test which ones give you better results.

These are all the settings you need to remember to get the best FPS in Valorant. What is the one thing you do to increase your FPS in games? Let us know in the comments below! For more Valorant content, click here!
