The 6’8″ forward believes that the documentary did not bring out the greatness of his generation of basketball in a good way. The following is his reply when asked how accurate ‘The Last Dance’ was:
“I don’t think it was that accurate in terms of really defining what was accomplished in one of the greatest eras of basketball, but also by two of the greatest players – and one could even put that aside and say the greatest team of all time. I didn’t think those things stood out in the documentary.”
Scottie Pippen said in an interview with @guardian that he told Michael Jordan that he wasn’t too pleased with The Last Dance documentary and thought “it was more about Michael trying to uplift himself and to be glorified.”

“I thought it was more about Michael trying to uplift himself and to be glorified. I think it also backfired to some degree in that people got a chance to see what kind of personality Michael had.”
“I told him I wasn’t too pleased with it. He accepted it. He said, “hey, you’re right”. That was pretty much it.”

Scottie was also asked how he felt about the 7-year, $18 million contract he signed shortly before the wage explosion of the 90s. Scottie said he didn’t think too much of it:
“I think at the time there were moments when it was upsetting but also there was so much joy that rose among the pain that I was feeling. There was too much to celebrate and enjoy to be thinking about the negative side of it.”
