"I want to win a championship in Memphis": Ja Morant makes a massive statement on Twitter, after witnessing Giannis Antetokounmpo winning it all with the Bucks

Ja Morant makes his ambitions for his career very clear to the world after watching the Milwaukee Bucks get their first title in 50 years

Ja Morant is arguably the most electrifying young athlete in the NBA right now. His array of high-flying dunks, flashy finishes, and ability to make those around him better make him must-watch TV. Simply put, the star is already so good, that fans just can’t wait to see just how bright his future will be.

Of course, it is the dream of just about every NBA player to win themselves a championship. The problem there is, it is perhaps the most difficult feat to accomplish in the league. It is only the best team, that is able to stay healthy, that makes it to the promised land. And for that to happen, more than a superstar, a franchise needs a cohesive team that makes sense together.

Recently, it seems the aspiration to win a ring got that much stronger within Morant after watching the Greek Freak’s joy at winning one. After letting the whole thing conclude, it almost seems he sent the Memphis Grizzlies a silent warning on Twitter.

Let’s get into it.

Frankly, this goal isn’t a pie in the sky one for the player.

The Memphis Grizzlies star has been blessed with magnanimous talent and skill. Given his abilities, he could become something similar to a Chris Paul-type player on a championship team.

Still, given that he is part of a very young team right now, those days are likely very far away. But, it appears that hasn’t deterred the star one bit. Here is what he posted on Twitter.

And as a response to his tweet, the Grizzlies’ official account responded with this.

For a player, winning an NBA championship for the team that drafted you can be very special. We just saw what it meant for Giannis Antetokounmpo after all.

So far, Memphis has made some very good strides in the right direction. But, can the franchise one day become good enough to win at the highest level? Or will Ja Morant have to seek out a move elsewhere for his ring?

Only time will tell.
