IND vs ENG 4th Test Pitch: A green top is all set to welcome both the teams in the fourth Test of the ongoing Test series between England and India.

Going by the first look of the pitch for the fourth Test between England and India at The Rose Bowl, Southampton, it is all but clear that the match will be played on a green wicket. Images coming in form the venue show clear evidence of extra tinge of grass on the pitch.

Going by the form of fast bowlers of both the teams, one can expect the red cherry to be swung at will by both the fast bowlers of both the teams. What still remains a big question is whether this extra grass would be retained till the toss happens on the day after tomorrow. In the recent past, pitch curators have had a knack of chopping-off the grass right before the toss happens.

The weather updates for the five days of the Test match is likely to support the conditions on the pitch. The given days are expected to encompass periods of sun and clouds, without any probability of rain. The form which the Indian bowlers have found in the recent times has it in it to dominate the opposition line-up. However, one can’t afford to take the bowlers of the home team lightly for the experienced English duo of James Anderson and Stuart Broad will look to exploit the home conditions as well.

In which will be the first for this series, such a wicket will be at contrast than what was anticipated for this series initially. There were a lot of talks of the English pitches assisting spin bowlers in this series, something which hasn’t really stood up to its expectations.

Having registered a series-saving 203-run win in the last Test at Nottingham, the Indian team would be hoping to bank on the momentum. What is likely to boost their confidence other than their bowling attack is the coming-in-form of Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane, both of whom scored individual half-centuries in the last Test.
