IND vs WI Dream11 Team Prediction, Probable Playing 11, Toss Prediction And Pitch Report for 3rd ODI

IND vs WI Dream11 Team Prediction: India would be looking to register another victory to wrap up the series at Port of Spain.

The third and the last ODI of the ongoing India’s tour of West Indies will be played today at Port of Spain. With the first ODI getting washed out due to rain and India winning the second one, the visitors can’t lose the series now.

On the other hand, West Indies will be looking to register their first victory of the series. The same will also ensure that India don’t leave the limited-overs leg of the series as the unbeaten team. In what might just be veteran opening batsman Chris Gayle’s last ODI, the hosts would want to end an illustrious international career with a victory.

Pitch conditions and Toss

As has been the trend in West Indies of late, don’t expect a high-scoring match at the Port of Spain in Trinidad today. Going by the current weather prediction, rain shouldn’t play a spoilsport in this match.

Since the start of 2010, the average innings score at Port of Spain is 210.88. Therefore, anything over 250 runs should be a competitive total as was the case in the second ODI. In the same period, a team score of 300 runs has been achieved only a couple of times (both by India while batting first in winning encounters).

Out of the 63 results possible at the venue, the teams batting second have won 33 times and lost 30 times. Given the numbers, it looks difficult to predict what the winning captain will decide at the toss. I leave it to the prevailing conditions in the morning to decide the same.

Dream11 Picks for IND vs WI 3rd ODI

Wicket-keepers for IND vs WI Dream11

I have included both the West Indian wicket-keeper batsmen in Shai Hope and Nicholas Pooran for the last match of the series. India wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant’s unusual ways of getting out has made me include both the West Indian wicket-keepers. Both Hope and Pooran also bat in the Top Five and should earn the required points for you.

Batsmen for IND vs WI Dream11

I have included India opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan into my Dream 11 fantasy team for the first time in this tour. Having scored 1, 23, 3 and 2 across formats till now, there is no hiding to the fact that Dhawan is due for a significant innings now.

You never know if that inning comes today itself. If India opt to play Lokesh Rahul ahead of Dhawan, make sure to make the change at the toss. The same will leave you with a couple of extra credits which you can utilize as per your need.

India captain Virat Kohli and middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer stitched a match-winning 125-run stand for the fourth wicket in the last match. Both the batsmen have found a place in my Dream 11 team.

Having scored 105 runs at a strike rate of 90.51, West Indies opening batsman Evin Lewis has been their top-scorer in the series so far. Get him in for the third ODI as well!

All-rounders for IND vs WI Dream11

My only all-rounder for this match is West Indies’ Carlos Brathwaite. While both his batting position and form is a concern, him being the hosts’ best bowler in the series made me pick him.

Bowlers for IND vs WI Dream11

Having picked 15 wickets in six ODIs at an average of 6.73, an economy rate of 2.83 and a strike rate of 14, India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has become the second-highest wicket-taker at the Queen’s Park Oval. Given his staggering ODI numbers in the modern times, expect him to continue being among the wickets in the third ODI.

Apart from Bhuvneshwar, chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav and fast bowler Mohammed Shami have been the other Indian bowlers who have done exceedingly well in the series. Include all three of them and stand a chance to possibly win a lot of points today.

West Indies fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell is the only specialist bowler from the home team in my squad for the last ODI.
