Indian U-17 football star may get signed by Manchetser United

Indian football has slowly been on the rise for the past two years, as a result of which the results of the national team have steadily improved.

Not only have the rankings of the national side improved, the overall infrastructure and opportunities in the sport have come up in leaps and bounds. The success of the ISL has also played a big part in this, as the game as now been taken to the national level on a scale that was earlier only reserved for cricket.

Now with the FIFA U-17 World Cup soon to commence, all eyes will be on the youngsters that will line up for the Blue Tigers in the opening match day. With no international experience, this will be a very tough situation for all the boys but a good showing is expected nonetheless.

One player whose name has been making the rounds is young Komal Thatal. Thatal is one of India’s biggest hopes heading into the tournament, as the prodigy is expected to become the next big thing in Indian football.

Reportedly, Manchester United have heard of him and will be sending their scouts to observe the boy during the Under 17 World Cup. The Manchester United youth academy is one of the most prestigious academies in the world, with the Class of 92 being the most famous batch of students coming out of that academy.

Beckham, Giggs, Scholes and the Nevilles were the most famous names from the ’92 batch. Recently, Marcos Rashford is the latest star to emerge out of the academy and into the first team of Manchester United.

If all goes well, Komal Thatl could one day be lighting up Old Trafford!
