As we approach the international break, we found a fan who stepped out during the weekend for the first time in a month.

Raj, a football fan who supports Manchester United, reportedly stepped out of his home for the first time since August this Saturday. The 26-year old software-engineer was seen by shocked locals, as he stared at birds on the middle of the road.

“You know, we were extremely worried,” said one of his neighbours. “He used to shout ‘ATTACK, ATTACK’ all the time. It was scary,” he added.

When we approached Raj, he was having an intense conversation with a stray dog about the possibility of introducing VAR in the Premier League.

“I was actually taken aback when I stepped out. There is actually a concept of going out on weekends!” Raj said.

He explained to us that there is nothing to do during international break. “It sucks, man. International break absolutely sucks. I recently wrote an in-depth thread about this on my twitter account yesterday. It’s getting viral, already received a like,” he excitedly showed his mobile as he spoke.

“Those international matches are boring. The players don’t give a damn about them and yet they come back injured. Commentators sound like they can’t wait to to go to bed. When is Germany vs France, though?” he added before rushing back to his home.

A friend of Raj’s, Karan told us that all of his friends have learnt to never ask Raj for weekend outings. “With Raj, we hardly ever have plans. During the international break, he agrees to go out with us but cancels in the final minute.”

“He watches the whole friendly, and then moans about how he wasted 90 minutes of his life.”
