Kai Havertz: Chelsea launches a massive transfer bid in an attempt to defeat rivals Manchester United in pursuit for the German sensation.

Chelsea has planned an impressive spending spree, as they have already agreed to an agreement with Timo Werner, whereas have already landed Hakim Ziyech and attempts to sign Ben Chilwell are still on.

Now, according to a report by the Sun, Chelsea is set to make a staggering bid of £70 million to defeat their Premier League rivals Manchester United in the pursuit o Kai Havertz this summer.

The 20-year-old Bayer Leverkusen player has taken the world football by storm with his impressive performances this season. He bagged 15 goals and 8 assists in 38 games across all competitions this season.

Therefore, mega-clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea started showing interests in the young German sensation. Moreover, the versatility he will provide as he can play several positions ahead makes him attractive in front of all the clubs in Europe.

Manchester United desperately looking for someone who can play on the right-wing and Havertz has the capability of playing there, however, his primary position is as an attacking midfielder, with that he can also be deputed as a backup for Bruno Fernandes.

But at the same time, Manchester United is also linked with Donny Van De Beek, who is proving to be much cheaper. This gives an advantage to Chelsea in this transfer saga.

Since Havertz can play at the centre of the field and on the right-wing too, it gives a huge scope to Lampard to make rotations in the squad, since all of them in this department are young.
