Indian Premier League (IPL) is a great platform for the youngsters to show their talent to the world. Beside youngsters, experienced players use the league to get their position back into the national team. Many times we have seen the selectors recalling players on the basis of their IPL performance itself.

Rayudu, Umesh and Rahul have performed exceedingly well in the IPL and are reportedly in line for a India call up.

According to the reports of Times Now, Rahul and Umesh are likely to get a recall for ODI series against England while Rayudu for T20I series. Kuldeep Yadav is also in line to get a Test recall as per the reports.

KL Rahul was dropped from ODI side after his poor performance in the series against Sri Lanka. Back then, he was also dropped from T20I and Test side but he was able to recover his place soon.

But now the selectors are keen to gift him ODI side recall after his impressive performance in the ongoing IPL season. He is the leading run-scorer for his franchise, Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), this season.

Umesh Yadav has been very consistent this season with the ball. He regularly picked the wickets and did wonders with the new ball. He is currently the purple cap holder with 14 wickets. He played his last ODI against Australia in 2017 in Bengaluru. He was also rested for ODI series against South Africa and now likely to get back his national duty.

No one thought that Ambati Rayudu would be the leading run scorer this season. Ambati is leading the runs chart by scoring 423 runs in 10 matches. He has also shown his ability to bat numerous positions and still score a lot of runs. He is in contention to be named in the T20I squad for Ireland and England series. He played his last match for India in the tour of Zimbabwe in 2016 where MS Dhoni led the side.

Suresh Raina could also be drafted into the squad as a number 6 option in both ODIs and T20 s, especially because of his bowling abilities. India need a spin bowling option apart from the existing 5 bowlers in the team. Thus Raina and Jadhav could find themselves fighting for that number 6 position.

India’s tour of England will start-off with a three-match T20 series at Manchester, Cardiff, and Bristol respectively. Then the teams will play a three-match ODI series at Nottingham, London, and Leeds respectively and the tour will end with a five-match test series.
