WWE Champion Kofi followed his Wrestlemania opponent soon to the ring. Bryan  then commented on Kofi being a Novelty act and how his win over him was a fluke. The former champ would then demand a rematch and Vince confirmed the Kofi Kingston Vs Daniel Bryan Title match as the nights Main Event.

Kofi and Bryan had a decent TV match. Much of the excitement was sucked away from there being just too many commercial breaks in between. The majority of the match saw Bryan trying to get Kofi to tap out. One Lebell lock after the other. Kofi managed to break out every time. Conversely Bryan had a counter to every maneuver Kofi brought to the fight. The highlight being, the Knee to Kofi as the champ attempted a ‘Trouble in Paradise’.

Finally after an almost 20 minute match, Kofi managed to land a ‘Trouble in paradise’ on Bryan and pin him to retain his WWE Championship. The show closed with the WWE Champion standing tall.

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
