The duo put up a brilliant performance today in the 3rd ODI at Vizag, claiming 3 wickets each and pushing Sri Lanka out of the game, even though Tharanga had started on a very positive note.

“I spoke to Mahi. I was bowling wicket to wicket and was bowling a bit quicker. I was able to control the drift from the last couple of series. So, I had my areas and know where to bowl. Not an easy wicket to get runs,” Yuzvendra Chahal said during the innings break.

“We are very lucky to get him at that point in time. The hard work we put in the nets is really coming off well. I was trying to bowl more in the fuller areas. The ball was turning and it was a slow turn. Mahi keeps telling us where to bowl and we are very lucky to have him on our side. We pulled out well towards the end,” Kuldeep added.

India are presently cruising in the 2nd innings, as Shikhar Dhawan is bossing the chase.
