The meteoric rise of Kylian Mbappe has been incredible to witness. The French International, who turned 20 one week ago has beaten Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to a record by scoring most number of goals before at the age of 20.

Mbappe has achieved so much before he turned twenty. He has netted 73 goals, comfortably sitting on the front, followed by Luis Ronaldo (59), Michael Owen (51), Cristiano Ronaldo (21) and Lionel Messi (14).

At the age of 20, he played an integral part in the World Cup success for his country and was part of the starting eleven in AS Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 triumph as well.

Besides, he has lifted the Coupe de la Ligue with the latter the last term. Kylian Mbappe was attracting various suitors when he was just 15 years of age.

He made his debut for Monaco first team on December 2, 2015, against SM Caen and eventually found the back of the net for the first time in Monaco’s colours in a 3-1 win over Troyes on February 20, 2016.

With that goal, he became the youngest goalscorer in Monaco’s history, and displaced Thierry Henry in the process.

His performances in the summer were enough to convince the former Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim to include him in the first team more frequently.

Eventually, he put pen to paper to sign a new contract with the French outfit and signed a new professional contract, a three-year deal until 2019.

His talent and experience at the French top tier were clearly visible to the world and it made France include the then 16-year old in the Under-19 European Cup Championship.

In that tournament, France’s strike force consisting of Kylian Mbappe and Jean-Kevin Augustin, were tearing the opponent’s defence for fun.

They combined to score 11 goals in that series, with Augustin lifting the golden boot by top scoring in that tournament with 6, and Kylian was the second best with 5 goals.

In the next season, Monaco along with Kylian Mbappe had a great season by lifting the Ligue 1 for the first time in 17 years.

The French International scored 26 goals in all competitions at the age of 18 and carried his team to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals that term.

Watching his breakthrough season with Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain were seriously considering to lure the teenager to Parc des Princes. Due to FFP, the French outfit brought in a loan deal with a view to make the move permanent.

The fee is believed to be 140 million Euros with 30 million add-ons to become the costliest teenager in the world.

He played a crucial hand in Paris’ Ligue 1 success by combining incredibly well with Neymar and Edinson Cavani in the front line.

However, they were not able to go past the Round of 16 in the Champions League which meant that the Spaniard Unai Emery had to get the sack.

Kylian Mbappe was an automatic starter for France in the World Cup and played through the right wing for his nation.

He played a crucial hand in the World Cup triumph by finding the back of the net on 4 occasions in Russia, which included one in the World Cup finals against Croatia.

It seems that he is enjoying his life under the management of Thomas Tuchel who loves to take the game into opposition’s half and attack the game.

Having scored 21 goals throughout the last season, the French International has already netted 19 goals halfway through the season.

It is unimaginable how good Kylian Mbappe is at the age of 20. He has already shattered plenty of records in the past, and the same is expected to be done in the future if he carries on his form.

Paris Siant-Germain are currently first in the Ligue 1 table, and they are expected to lift this accolade again in the forthcoming summer.
