Kylian Mbappe was livid with Thomas Tuchel after being substituted during PSG vs Montpellier in the Ligue 1 on Saturday.

PSG ran riot against the visiting Montpellier side in the Ligue 1 on Saturday. The French Champions won the match with the score 5-0 in their favour. Kylian Mbappe himself got on the scoring chart with a 2nd half goal.

With the match in the bag, PSG manager Thomas Tuchel decided to call his star player back and bring in Mauro Icardi in the 69th minute. However, despite his attempts at explaining his decision to Mbappe, the Frenchman was in no mood to listen to his manager.

Despite their attempts at covering their mouths in a bid to have their lips read, it was very evident that Kylian Mbappe was not pleased at being called off and sulked on the bench. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time the World Cup winner has shown his frustration at being substituted. He expressed the same when substituted in December; coincidentally against the same side.

Tuchel explained the reason behind his behaviour after the full-time whistle.

“Kylian never wants to go out, it’s clear. He did not want to against Nantes and still today, very late since there was 3-1 for us, but I decided that and it’s forgotten now.” he said.

“We must admit that Choupo deserves respect, he deserved to play and that’s my decision. He accepts it and it is not much.”
