Lakers: LeBron James called out by Clyde Frazier for ignoring teammates in timeout huddle

The Lakers and LeBron James sink a little deeper after their 124-123 loss to the New York Knicks at the MSG.

With LeBron James being under minutes restriction, the Lakers did not quite have the option to unleash their beast for the entire game, but with the Knicks having won just 13 games in the season(before this one), one would have expected the Lakers to come out on top.

LeBron James was called out for ignoring his teammates in the team huddle during a timeout. The Lakers man sat away from his team and also ignored calls from Luke Walton.

New York Knicks legend was quick to point out LeBron James’ lacklustre attitude, admitting that it felt like LeBron just did not care anymore.

“When you’re the face of the NBA, you should be more a part of your team,” Frazier said

“No matter what is going on. In the public you got to be a part of the team. In the locker room you’re not. But you have to exude that type of togetherness in public. And right you see he doesn’t really care.” he added.

Fans were not quite impressed with how LeBron acted during that timeout and took to twitter to show their disappointment.

LeBron James has often been criticised about his on-court body language this season, especially when the team is in dire situations.

LeBron has often cut a frustrating figure, as he has found life in LA a little more difficult than expected. However, things have gotten a little worse after it has been understood that the Lakers don’t really stand a realistic chance of making it to the NBA playoffs.

The 3 time NBA champion has received some slack for his defensive play and how he has not been able to create a good enough atmosphere in the locker room, especially after the Anthony Davis saga.

LeBron needs to desperately win the locker room back, get his attitude and intensity back and help the Lakers bow out of the ongoing season on a high. Else, no free agents will want to enter into the Lakers mess, come the off-season.
