Liverpool News: Watch Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane score goal and win penalty during Brazil vs Senegal

Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane produced good performances as the game ended in a draw between Brazil and Senegal.

Liverpool stars Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane went head-to-head in a friendly in Singapore while representing their nations. Brazil took on Senegal in front of the Asian crowd which saw the game ending in a 1-1 draw.

The Selecao scored first through Roberto Firmino in the 9th minute. Gabriel Jesus made a run through the wings and fed Roberto Firmino who made a run behind the Senegalese defence. Liverpool’s number 9 was one-v-one with the goalkeeper in a tight angle, but somehow scored the goal.

He had an option to pass the ball to his teammate, who had an easier option to tap the ball in. However, he audaciously chipped the ball over the goalkeeper’s arm to find the back of the net.

It was an extraordinary goal to put the South American team ahead in the game.

For rest of the first-half, Senegal kept on pushing for an equalizer and finally won a penalty through Sadio Mane. The forward dribbled with ease past Dani Alves and Marquinhos into the penalty box. Marquinhos made contact from behind to foul Mane inside the penalty box.

It was an excellent dribble to breeze past Brazil’s defenders.

The penalty was scored by Famara Diedhiou to equalize the score.

It was an excellent performance from the Liverpool duo. Sadio Mane has culminated his international duty and will return to Liverpool, while Roberto Firmino and his teammates will take on Nigeria Sunday before flying back to Merseyside.
