Lovren-Ramos fight

Lovren-Ramos fight: Dejan Lovren took digs at Spanish defender Sergio Ramos after the Nations League game between both the sides.

Dejan Lovren and Sergio Ramos are involved in a heated battle outside the football pitch at the moment.

After Croatia beat Spain 3-2, Lovren took to Instagram to let his thoughts know about Sergio Ramos. The Liverpool defender posted a picture of him seemingly elbowing Ramos as he jumps to head the ball, with Ramos touching his head in pain.

In an Instagram story, Lovren said, “Elbowed him good. Go ahead and talk now buddy. Buddy! They are a bunch of p****s.”

Lovren also talked about Ramos before the game against Spain, and Sergio Ramos gave a fitting reply to the Liverpool defender.

Lovren-Ramos fight:

The Croatian defender stated that Ramos makes more mistakes than him on the pitch, and went on further to talk about how Ronaldo’s presence overshadowed the Spanish defender’s sloppiness in the field.

“If you look, Ramos, he has many more mistakes than me but he’s at Real Madrid,” Lovren began. “With [Cristiano] Ronaldo, when you make a mistake, it’s 5-1, 5-2 and nobody sees the mistake. I’m quite unlucky, when I make the mistake it’s 1-0.”

Lovren also stated that Raphael Varane is a better defender than Ramos, saying, “At this moment and in previous years, yeah. He [Varane] won the Champions League and the World Cup, I think he should be the best defender in the world but they chose Ramos (for the awards).”

Sergio Ramos reacted to Lovren’s comments, insisting that it is an attempt to be on the front page.

“I’ve said it many times, I don’t know if these things are said out of frustration or for other reasons,” Ramos said.

“I’m not going to answer Lovren or whoever wants to win three front pages or start the news bulletin. Everyone wins things for himself on the pitch.”

What next?

Ever since Sergio Ramos made a tackle on Mohamed Salah in the Champions League final against Liverpool, the Spanish defender has received negative criticism, especially from England.

Dejan Lovren, who is a teammate of Mohamed Salah, is an addition to the list of Ramos’ critics.
