Man Utd Transfer News: Ajax superstar David Neres dismisses Manchester United links after speculations of him joining the English giants.
Manchester United are looking for certain reinforcements in the squad, especially in the attack, after an underwhelming season in the Premier league.
Thus, Ole Solsjkaer is looking forward to sign the services of David Neres from Ajax this summer. However, according to a report by the goal, Neres has dismissed his links with Manchester United.
But he broke off from celebration following Brazil’s 3-1 Copa America final victory over Peru to tell Algemeen Dagblad: “I’m having a beer because I have something to celebrate. I have to be back at Ajax on July 28. My future is with Ajax .”
This statement by the Brazilian International surely gives a major blow to the Red Devils, since they are looking suitable replacements for the key players in the forward line, who are set to leave the club.
On the other side, Neres who was with Brazilian contingent for Copa America has helped Brazil in their triumph by being as a used sub and contributed in the crucial minutes.
The 22-year-old Brazilian forward had a successful season with Ajax, as his exploits helped the Dutch club to win the league and entry into the semi-finals of the Champions league.
He began his career with Sao Paulo and quickly earned a move to Ajax in January 2017. Since then he has made 69 appearances for the Amsterdam giants, scoring 25 goals.
Hence, his exhibits aroused interests of several clubs including Manchester United, as they are reportedly willing to add his services into the club.
However, with Neres keen to remain in Amsterdam, it has surely spoiled the plans of Manchester United to fortify their squad ahead of the next season.
