Man Utd predicted XI vs Arsenal: Manchester United will aim to go level on points with Tottenham as Solskjaer’s side faces Arsenal.
The Manchester United camp is in high spirits after the stunning victory against Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League.
The side overturned a 2-0 deficit in the first leg to secure a dramatic 3-1 win at Parc des Princes. Romelu Lukaku scored his third consecutive brace, while Marcus Rashford kept him calm to convert a penalty in the injury time to secure a place in the quarterfinal.
Manchester United return to Premier League in another significant fixture in the season. The side takes on Arsenal as the race for the top-4 grows intense. Tottenham Hotspur conceded a shocking 2-1 defeat to Southampton in the league and Manchester United have the opportunity to go level with Pochettino’s side with a win.
But how can the side line up against Arsenal?
Man Utd predicted XI vs Arsenal:
Goalkeeper: David De Gea
The Spaniard has been a consistent presence over the injury crisis and made some spectacular saves over the course of the season. As Manchester United take on Arsenal in one of the most significant games for the side this season, playing De Gea on goal is a no-brainer.
Defence: Young, Smalling, Lindelof, Shaw
The centre-back duo of Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof was immense in Manchester United’s win against PSG. Smalling made crucial tackles and blocks in the final stages of the game to deny PSG a place in the quarterfinal, while Lindelof’s positioning sense and defensive performance has improved immensely throughout the season.
Luke Shaw and Ashley Young are expected to retain their places on the wing after another top-quality defensive performance against PSG.
Midfield: Matic, McTominay, Pogba
Solskjaer provided a positive news on Manchester United’s midfield in the pre-match conference for the game against Arsenal.
Nemanja Matic and/or Ander Herrera are expected to feature in the game. As the game against Arsenal is paramount to Manchester United’s chances for a top-4, Solskjaer might bring the Serbian midfielder back to the side.
Solskjaer: “They (the players) call me Boss. Mike calls me Ole. I think its wrong for people I’ve worked with and played with to call me anything but Ole. There is only one boss, and that is Sir Alex.”

Paul Pogba’s suspension was limited to the second leg of the Champions League clash against PSG, and will return to the midfield.
Scott McTominay stepped up brilliantly for Manchester United in the absence of the team’s first-choice midfielders and is expected to retain his place.
Forward: Lukaku, Rashford, Martial
Anthony Martial is back with the squad after facing an injury during the first leg of the round-of-16 tie against PSG, and is expected to start against Arsenal.
