There seems to be something wrong with Jose Mourinho these days. The brilliant manager has looked quite forlorn over the past few weeks, as the United boss has repeatedly snapped at journalists during press conferences.
Most people believe that Pep Guardiola’s magnificent City side is the cause for Jose’s irritation, as United’s ‘noisy neighbours’s have well truly dominated the league this year.
Pep has managed to create an outstanding team of brilliant individuals, as City look like they have already sown up the Premier league title for this year. For a man with as much pride as Mourinho, the thought of City, and not United, being the toast of the town is something that he can barely digest.

But Jose has mentioned recently that he needs to spend more money if he wants to compete with the likes of Manchester City. Jamie Carragher for one does not buy Jose’s excuses, especially when the United boss has spent close to 300 million during his time at Old Trafford.
“De Bruyne is now the best player in the Premier League and could go on to be one of the best in the world if he is not there already. His improvement has come under Guardiola.”
“Raheem Sterling did not have a great start to his Manchester City career and was not a regular, but he is now one of the best wide players in the Premier League. ‘Look at the improvements.”
“It’s not just about spending money, every top club in world football spends money, that’s what you have to do, but the improvement in players he has inherited is why they are so far ahead of Manchester United.”
But Jose will try to correct that next summer, as he has made Juventus’ Paulo Dybala his number one priority signing. United are willing to offer 70 million in addition to Mkhitaryan for the Argentine’s services.
United also have Antoine Greizmann and Eden Hazard on their short list, as Jose wants to add a special player to his ranks next year, in a bid to stop Pep’s City side.
