Marcus Rashford won millions of hearts when he wrote a heartfelt letter to all the MPs to not discontinue the free school meals considering the pandemic has strained the financial situation of the working class.

He cited his own example while describing the difficulties his family faced during his childhood. On Tuesday, it was reported that Prime Minister Boris Johnson has rejected his plea.

But soon, Rashford got massive support on social media and managed to trend his cause on twitter, which compelled the government to U-turn their decision and further aid the scheme.

It was reported on Wednesday that the Government is extending its free school meal voucher scheme through a £120 million COVID Summer Food Fund.

Immediately Rashford posted how happy he felt about the reversal of Government’s decision. Meanwhile, many of the football followers, including the rivals showed their admiration for the step Rashford took.

After, this many twitter accounts started demanding a knighthood for Manchester united star who single-handedly managed to look after the welfare of the underprivileged kids in the United Kingdom.

A Manchester United dedicated account, Utdreport mentioned ‘bookmakers have slashed odds on Marcus Rashford receiving a knighthood from 4/1 to 4/5′.

Even though Rashford did this out of selflessness but he managed to touch million if hearts in less than 48 hours. Even clubs out of the Premier League started to acknowledge the actions of Rashford and appreciated it.

In the end, Rashford finally gave the last message to all the MPs and talked about how it was never about him and showed his gratitude towards the government for taking the cognizance of his appeal.
