At 19 years of age, he was able to guide Ajax to two domestic trophies and to the Semifinals of the Champions League. They were a whisker away from qualifying to the finals of the European competition as Lucas Moura killed the hopes.

The Red Devils have eclipsed De Ligt’s wages to 14 million per year. This might prompt him to leave to Old Trafford, but the player is yet to take a call on his future, with the likes of Juventus and Bayern Munich in the queue.
Besides the salary, De Ligt’s agent Mino Raiola is set to be demanding more commission for his client. Barcelona are stubborn that they will not be paying up for their target, whilst Manchester United have offered him the above-mentioned amount. Juventus have handed him over a blank cheque as they will to match his wages at any cost.
