NBA deadline day is in overdrive as franchises are making last minute deals in order to bolster their rosters going into the business end of the NBA season.

Anthony Davis’s impending trade isn’t really going anywhere, with the Pelicans not ready to give into the ‘stupendous offer’ given by the Lakers.
But there is action happening elsewhere, and Pelicans are involved in it, as they have decided to send Nikola Mirotic to the Milwaukee Bucks.
Jason Smith and Stanley Johnson will be going the other way and could land up as Anthony Davis’ teammate next season(if AD stays on i.e.)

Woj has reported that Pistons will also be involved in the deal.

New Orleans-Milwaukee trade will include Pistons and send multiple second-road picks to the Pelicans for Mirotic, league sources tell ESPN.

Mirotic’s move to Milwaukee will help the Bucks make a stronger push for a higher playoff spot. Mirotic will form a very able partnership with Giannis and could help the Bucks challenge Warriors during the NBA finals(if Milwaukee reach there).
Two of the second-round picks New Orleans will acquire from Milwaukee are Washington’s suddenly very intriguing 2020 and 2021 selections, according to a source.

“Mirotic made a major impact on the Pelicans push to the Western Conference semifinals upon arriving in New Orleans prior to last year’s trade deadline. Now, Bucks — the East’s best team — get even better. And they don’t have to give up a first-round pick” Woj has tweeted.

This deal makes the Bucks extremely strong in the East and make them a very strong contender for the NBA title this season. Bucks currently have 40-13 record and will be gunning for the first seed in the East.
