12 Years After $50,000 Divorce From Shaquille O’Neal, Shaunie Gives Sage Wisdom On How To Have A Healthy Marriage
NBA juggernaut, Shaquille O’Neal, excelled in every aspect of his life, except for being a good and loyal husband. The self-anointed “serial cheater” was married to Shaunie Henderson (formerly O’Neal) for seven years from 2002-09, before Shaunie filed for a divorce. But it looks like it wasn’t all on Shaq. Shaunie, who has been receiving $50,000 every month since their divorce, believes she now knows how to make a marriage work.
After taking the sole responsibility for hampering his marriage, Shaq, who is worth $400 Million, has been paying $10,000 for each of their 4 kids, and $10k in alimony to the mother of five.
12 years after divorcing Shaq, Shaunie gives wisdom on how to have a healthy marriage
Shaunie, who married Keion Henderson last year, recently shared a clip on her Instagram, where she is sharing some of the things that make her marriage work. She self-admittedly said she didn’t know “communication” was the key to marriage.
“Communication is huge, which no one told me the first time around because this is also another chance for me,” said Shaunie, hinting towards what might not have happened in her first marriage. Watch the whole exchange in the following clip from Shaunie’s official Instagram account.

Even after her separation and marriage with Pastor Henderson, Shaunie is on good terms with Shaquille O’Neal. The latter even got an invitation to his ex-wife’s wedding.
Why has Shaquille O’Neal not re-married?
Shaq is an old-school man who lives by philosophies. He might have been solely responsible for sabotaging his marriage but he is trying to compensate for it by being fully available for the 4 women in his life.
The reason Diesel did not go for a second marriage is that he has 3 daughters and a mother to care of. According to him, they are nothing less than a wife. Each of them wants to know every specific detail of his life.
