“8.7% from 3 and Russell Westbrook is the problem?!”: LeBron James’ Horrendous Shooting in 2023 is Concerning

Yes, the Lakers are far off from where they would like to be halfway into the 2022-2023 season. Placed 13th in the West, LeBron James and co. hold on to an ugly 19-23 record.

With the Lakers being in turmoil, their recent performances in the new calendar year have to be motivating. Having defeated the likes of the Kings, and the Heat, among others, Darvin Ham’s boys have gone 4-2.

While the likes of Russell Westbrook, Dennis Schroder, and Thomas Bryant have stepped up big-time, LeBron should mainly be credited for his surreal contributions.

NBA Twitter reacts to LeBron’s alarming 8.7% shooting from 3-point range in 2023

Since turning 38 years old, the King has elevated his game to a different level. After recording a 47-point near triple-double on his birthday, James lodged 32.3/10.5/8 in the 4 games he’s suited up for in 2023.

While 32.3 points on 48.5% FG is great, the 4-time MVP’s shooting from beyond the arc has been atrocious, to say the least. Having gone 2-23 from the 3-point land, the 6-foot-9 forward has been extremely inefficient.

NBA Twitter even trolled LBJ for his 8.7% 3FG.

Can LeBron James and the Lakers’ fortune turn around in the second half of the campaign?

To be honest, the California-based franchise isn’t that far behind. Yes, they are 13th in the stacked Western Conference, however, are merely 2 games behind the #6 Golden State Warriors.

James is putting up a staggering 29 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game.

Further, with Russ perfectly leading the second unit, the Lakers have a legit shot at rising up a few positions in the standings.
