After Missing 25 Games, Andrew Wiggins Received Advice From Jordan Poole Ahead of Game 1 Against Kings

The Golden State Warriors made their way to Sacramento to take on the Kings. After a season full of struggles, everything seems to fall in place for the defending champions. After he missed 25 games due to family matters, Andrew Wiggins is back with the Warriors.

He did not join the Warriors on the floor for the final two games of the regular season, but that was because the team wanted to ramp him up for the playoffs. Well, the playoffs are here, and Wiggins looks good.

Starting off the bench tonight, it marks the first time Wigs has ever come off the bench in his career.

However, before the game started, he got some words of advice from his good friend Jordan Poole.

Jordan Poole advises Andrew Wiggins to find his rhythm

Getting back on the court after two months is no small deal. On top of that, Wiggins played his last game in the regular season, and tonight, he’s returning to playoff basketball. The players, coaches, and fans are excited to have Wiggins back, and we’ve been hearing about the same all week.

Before Wigs checked into the game, Poole had some words for him. JP said,

“Look to be aggressive. Find your rhythm. I rather you find your rhythm in the first game as opposed to finding it the third game. You got fresh legs.”

So far, so good. Wiggins has been showing the fans and the Kings the impact he’s having. In 22 minutes off the bench, Wiggins has scored 17 points, gotten 3 rebounds, and blocked 3 shots.

Can Wiggins help the Dubs win another title?

So far, it’s been a rough season for the Warriors. However, come playoff time, the slate gets cleaned, and everything is back to square 1. While the Warriors have the experience of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, Playoffs are not just about three guys.

The Dubs traded for GP2 mid-season and now they have Wiggins back. With Wiggins and Jordan Poole, the Dubs have excellent third and fourth scorers who can contribute on any given night. On top of that, GP2 and Wiggins provide a stellar defense.

As long as Wiggins does what he does best, things look good for the reigning champs.
