After Missing $39 Million, Ja Morant Allegedly Flashes Gun Again on Instagram Live 2 Months After Suspension

Ja Morant, in the past 2 months, faced some individual and professional obstacles that have derailed his career path. The Washington Post in March reported the Grizzlies star had been involved in two violent altercations. Days after, he flashed a gun on his Instagram Live and was immediately suspended. Morant came back and apologized for his actions. But it seems the remorse was short-lived. The 23-year-old has again found himself in the midst of fresh allegations. An Instagram Live footage has surfaced on Twitter that showcases Ja flashing a handgun. This comes days after he missed out on $39 million for not making it to the All-NBA selection.

The Grizzlies were ousted from the Playoffs by a hungry Lakers. Their unceremonious loss, despite being the second seed in the West, caused the end of Dillon Brooks’ time in Memphis.

Instead of preparing for the next season or even going on a vacation, Morant has allegedly gone back to doing what led to his suspension just 2 months ago. Morant’s repeat flashing of a gun will likely cause a major stir in the league.

The video, shared by New York Basketball page on Twitter, wasn’t Ja’s IG Live. It is perhaps his acquaintance’s account who is also visible in the video.

At the 13-second mark in the video, the Grizzlies’ young star is seen grooving to the music with a gun in his hand. Though not clear at first look, it becomes apparent at a second glance that Morant is indeed holding a gun.

For a player who just lost a major chunk of his salary, this is awful news. He has already faced the consequences of his actions once and even apologized publicly for his actions.

In fact, Morant had to enter compulsory counseling for multiple instances of physical altercations and the flashing of the gun in a strip club. This time, though not in a strip club or on his personal IG Live, Ja Morant is still undeniably holding a gun. Whether the IG Live is from the past or is current is not clear yet. There should be more information going forward.
