Amidst ‘$146,363,028 Uncertainty,’ Giannis Antetokounmpo Celebrates Birth of His 1st Daughter, Eva, With Special Freak 5 PE: “Hot Pink Is Growing on Me!”
Recently, Giannis Antetokounmpo welcomed a new member to his family. Earlier in the month, his partner Mariah Riddlesprigger gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Eva Brooke Antetokounmpo. In the midst of this, he is struggling with the uncertainty of his $146,363,028 future with the Milwaukee Bucks. Nevertheless, he found a unique way to celebrate the birth of his first daughter, as he shared pictures of his new Freak 5s in the hot pink colorway, with his daughter’s name stitched into the side.
The Greek Freak is currently tied down for the next two years with the Bucks. With a potential $146,363,028 left on his current deal, Giannis has a tough decision to make in the near future. He does have a player option for an additional year but may refuse to take it. As such, he could find himself in free agency sooner than expected.

The Antetokounmpo household has a new addition. On September 17, 2023, Giannis Antetokounmpo and his partner Maria Riddlesprigger brought home Eva Brooke Antetokounmpo. Their third child after their sons Liam and Maverick.
It was a big day for the Greek Freak, who is currently in the middle of preparations for the upcoming campaign. With the 2023-2024 season right around the corner, Giannis is hard at work. He even missed the FIBA World Cup, all so that he could prepare to perhaps lead the Milwaukee Bucks back to the NBA Finals.
But, while he was building up a sweat in practice, he did not forget his daughter Eva. Sporting a new hot pink colorway of his Nike Freak 5s, this edition paid tribute to his daughter. In addition to having a heart near his logo on the tongue of the shoe, Eva’s name was also stitched into its side.
“Hot pink is growing on me.”

A nice little gesture from the 2021 NBA Champion. Hopefully, it will prove to be a good luck charm for him heading into the new season. One that will propel him to reach greater heights in the NBA.
Several other NBA superstars like Stephen Curry and LeBron James have shoes honoring their daughters
Giannis Antetokounmpo isn’t the only player who has paid homage to his daughter with his shoes. Fellow NBA superstars, Stephen Curry and LeBron James also have kicks that were inspired by and honor their daughters.
The Under Armor Curry Flow 10 “Unicorn & Butterfly”, was made in honor of Steph’s daughters Riley and Ryan. At the same time, the latest edition of Bron’s shoe line, the LeBron 21s is inspired by Zhuri James. The shoe, which gives a nod to the oyster shell comes in pearl-white, and reportedly is a metaphor for “protecting the pearl inside”.

It’s great to see so many basketball players being inspired by their children. Inspiration, that will likely carry on to the 2023-2024 season, as they look to win it all.
