Anthony Davis might miss the Clippers clash after suffering an eye injury during the scrimmage against the Orlando Magic.
Lakers head coach Frank Vogel stated that he wasn’t sure whether Davis would feature against the Clippers. Although it seems sensible to not play Davis with an injury, the star is currently listed on day-to-day. The Lakers will resume their campaign against Clippers for the NBA restart. The Clippers hold a 2-1 lead over the Lakers this season.

Lakers fans across the globe might have skipped a heartbeat after it was revealed that Davis had suffered an injury. However to everyone’s relief, the 6-time all-star has not suffered a very threatening injury. However, the star may miss the game against Clippers as stated by Frank Vogel.
If that does happen, it could be a massive concern for the Lakers, who would want to get one up over their city rivals. Also, in order to secure that number 1 seed, they do need Davis to be on their side during the seeding games. The Lakers would hope that he misses not more than one game, if at all.

Anthony Davis was poked in the eye while fighting for a rebound against the Magic which led to his injury. The star did not even practice today certainly confirming his status.
The former Pelicans star was averaging 26.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 2.4 blocks and 1.5 steals per game this season. If not for a certain LeBron James, Brow might have been one of the front-runners in the MVP race this season.

What’s next for Davis and his Lakers?
Anthony Davis will look to win his first NBA title with the Lakers this season. With Davis and LeBron forming the best duo in the league, the Lakers are comfortably sitting atop the western conference at the moment. Davis is also one of the front-runners to win the Defensive Player of the Year award this season. The 6-time all-star has improved the Lakers defense massively this season.
The Lakers are also one of the favorites to win the title this season. The Western Conference will mostly boil down to the Lakers taking on the Clippers. While the Lakers have great squad chemistry to go with their all-star duo, the Clippers have the most stacked lineup in the league with top-notch defenders spread across their rotations.
