“Anthony Davis is Low Motor and Lower Durability”: Skip Bayless Shockingly Criticizes 6ft 10" Lakers Star Despite MVP Level Performance

After a horrific 2-10 start to their 2022-23 season, the Lakers have managed to somewhat turn their fortunes around. Currently holding a 10-12 record, while LeBron James was injured for most of the past 10 games, it has been Anthony Davis who has been carrying the LA-based franchise on his back.

Over the past 10 games, the Purple & Gold have been extremely impressive, going 8-2. During this period, The Brow has been playing at an absolutely terrific level. Averaging 34.2 points, 15.4 rebounds, and 2.9 blocks, Davis’ outings include 10 straight double-doubles, 4 straight 30-point & 15-rebound performances, a 44-point outburst, and a phenomenal 55-point scoring rampage.

Skip Bayless criticizes Anthony Davis despite HOT form

While NBA Twitter, pundits, and fellow stars have been lauding AD amid his sensational run, Skip Bayless had other thoughts. Known for being an LBJ and Lakers hater, Bayless recently attacked the former Kentucky Wildcat despite great consistent performances.

On the recent-most episode of “UNDISPUTED”, Bayless initially spoke about Anthony’s outstanding PER. However, discrediting all of the Western Conference Player of the Week’s performance, the 70-year-old analyst went on to rip apart the 6-foot-10 big man for having “low motor” and “lower durability”.

“AD has turned back into a PER Prince because he is now 2nd to Luka in Player Efficiency Rating and he is a notch ahead of Jokic and Giannis and Embiid. That’s pretty great. But, you call him always dominant? I’m going to have to change that nickname to always disappointing because that’s what he is. He is low motor and he is lower durability. Am I right?”

AD’s reaction to his last ten games

The 29-year-old has been playing some great basketball. While it has been impressive, to say the least, AD hasn’t surprised himself. In the Lakers’ latest win over the Washington Wizards, the 8-time All-Star spoke about his form and how he is merely doing what he’s supposed to.

“This doesn’t surprise me,” Davis said. “This is what I’m supposed to be doing. This is what I know I’m capable of doing. It’s not a thing where I’m excited how I’m playing. It’s like a, ‘This is what I’m supposed to do’ feeling. I have high expectations of myself, so, when I don’t play how I want to play, I’m my own biggest critic. But if I continue to keep playing like this, and if our team continues to keep playing like this, we could be really good.”

If Anthony Davis manages to continue to play at this current level, there is absolutely no doubt that Darvin Ham’s boys will rise up in the standings.
