The Los Angeles Lakers broke their three-game winning streak last night. Playing the Cavaliers in Cleveland, the Lakers were handed a 116-102 loss. After two 40+ point games, Anthony Davis was a no-show in Ohio.

The Cavaliers took on the red-hot Lakers and ruined LeBron James’ homecoming once again. Anthony Davis exited the game after eight minutes of action. He scored one point, grabbed three rebounds, and dished two assists when he was on the floor.
LeBron James scored a team-high 21 points and grabbed 17 rebounds. However, the Lakers couldn’t match the Cavaliers’ firepower brought upon by Donovan Mitchell. The 3x All-Star dazzled the crowd with 17 points in the fourth quarter and finished with 43 points, six rebounds, five assists, and four steals.
After last night’s showing, Skip Bayless doubled down on his views about Anthony Davis.
Skip Bayless points out how ‘disappointing’ Anthony Davis is
Yesterday on Undisputed, Shannon Sharpe sang the MVP tunes for Anthony Davis. However, Skip, just like always, didn’t agree. He called AD ‘Low Motor, Low Durability’ and went as far as to nickname him Always Disappointing.
After last night’s performance, it looks like Skip may have been right. Sure, Davis went out with ‘flu-like’ symptoms, but Skip’s point about his durability stands. He talked about it on Undisputed this morning and said,
“For whatever reason, here we go again. There is always something with this guy and I don’t know why.”

While talking about the same, Skip brought up how AD played 36 out of 72 games in the 2020-21 season, and 40 games in the 2021-22 season. That’s 76 games out of 154. For someone who’s paid almost $38 million a year, Davis has not been living up to the benchmark set for him.
Can AD silence the haters this season?
At the start of the season, it looked like another typical AD season. However, as of the last ten games, AD seems to have picked up the pieces and started showing the world what he’s capable of. He averaged 34 points and 15 rebounds while shooting 63% from the field in his last ten games.
This flu game was a setback in his recent progress, and the Lakers would hope it goes away soon. Without AD pulling the weight, things look bleak for the Purple and Gold this year.
