"The Los Angeles Lakers are the most likely landing spot for Carmelo Anthony": An anonymous NBA agent reveals that LeBron James and Co. could very well acquire the Portland star

An anonymous NBA agent reveals that the Los Angeles Lakers are the “most likely landing spot” for Carmelo Anthony if the Portland star decides to leave in free agency.

Carmelo Anthony is one of the most prolific scorers in league history. As soon as he entered the league in the distinguished 2003 Draft class, Melo instantly became a deadly offensive threat for defenders. Even though Carmelo is one of the most gifted players in the modern league, unfortunately, he is yet to win his first-ever championship.

After being waived by the Houston Rockets towards the end of the 2019 season, Melo sat out of the league for almost a whole year before being signed by Portland, on a one-year non-guaranteed deal. Clearly, Anthony has proved that he has a lot of gas still left in his tank.

In the two campaigns that the forward has been part of the Blazers team, he has been absolutely terrific, sticking true to the role assigned to him. In the 127 games Melo has played for Damian Lillard and co, he has scored 14.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists, at a respectable 43/40/87 shooting split.

Even though these are just rumours, joining forces with LBJ and AD, might be the best thing for him. At age 37, Anthony has a pretty terrific resume, and could very well win his long-awaited championship ring. We’ll just have to wait and see what move does Carmelo Anthony decide to make this offseason.
