The NBA Playoffs are getting incredibly interesting. With the Conference Finals going in full swing, we just have four teams left in contention: Lakers, Nuggets, Celtics, and Heat. Tonight LeBron James and the Lakers played Game 2 in Denver. Despite controlling the game for 3 quarters, the Lakers couldn’t hold on in the 4th quarter. LeBron’s poor shooting came to haunt the team. After watching the Purple and Gold, Dwight Howard hopped on social media to extend an invite to the King.

In case you’re wondering what the invite is for, it is to join his superteam in Taiwan. Ever since the playoffs started, Howard has been extending Taiwan invites to players that have been underperforming. So far, he’s called Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, James Harden, Chris Paul, Ben Simmons, Julius Randle, and Ja Morant. The latest name on his list? LeBron James.
Dwight Howard invites LeBron James to join him in Taiwan
Over the past year, many people, especially Shaquille O’Neal, ridiculed Dwight Howard for going to Taiwan. However, it looks like Dwight has taken it in stride. He’s been enjoying his time in the foreign country, and in fact, he’s now planning to win a ring there. In order to do so, he’s forming a superteam which will have all the stars from the NBA who underperformed in the Playoffs.
Howard’s latest invite came 15 minutes after the Lakers lost Game 2 in Denver. He put a video where he’s first rejecting Dillon Brooks from joining his team. Secondly, he said,
“LeGM, LeBron. Lakers if y’all lose LeBron, y’all better get LeBring your butt to the Taiwan!”
While in the video, he’s talking about the Lakers, but his caption shares his clear invitation to the King.
“Aye king we got you a purple and gold jersey over her my boy 😅”
Dwight’s really enjoying his time off in Taiwan and trying his best to emulate what his former teammate, LeBron James, is known for. Being a general manager. Sadly, none of his public invites have drawn a reaction yet.
Dwight Howard wants to recreate an iconic commercial with LeBron
Back in 2010, LeBron James and Dwight Howard recreated the iconic 1993 Super Bowl commercial ‘The Showdown’ starring Michael Jordan and Larry Bird.
Reminiscing those times, Dwight, who just shot a fun commercial in Taiwan, invited LeBron to Taiwan, so maybe they could remake the same there as well.
It’s clear that Howard is having fun with it. What we need to see is whether LeBron responds to Dwight, or how his Lakers respond to the Nuggets. In case LBJ has a bad game in Game 3, we know Howard will press again with his invite.
