Damian Lillard NBA 2K21 cover athlete: Blazers’ star announced as 1st cover star

Damian Lillard has been announced as the 1st NBA 2K21 cover athlete, with 2 other cover stars set to be announced later.

Damian Lillard is the first cover star to be unveiled for this year’s release of the acclaimed basketball game. NBA recently announced that this year’s edition will have three cover stars with the late Kobe Bryant, rookie Zion Williamson and Michael Jordan rumoured to be amongst the cover stars.

The other 2 athletes will be announced in the coming days on Tik Tok itself.

The NBA announced this decision on their newly created TikTok page. The other two cover stars will be revealed on 1st and 2nd July.

“I made it.” said Lillard. “It means a lot to be on the cover of 2k.”

Lillard is one of the highest paid superstars in the game and he signed a max contract with the Blazers this past season. The multi-time All star has progressed massively every year and averages 28.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 7.8 assists this season.

“I made it. I’m going to be on the cover of 2K.”

The Blazers currently occupy the 9th position in the loaded western conference. They have a 29-37 record and are 3.5 games behind the Grizzlies. Lillard will certainly hope that to continue his momentum and lead the Blazers to the playoffs.
