It will soon be 20 years since LeBron James played his first game in the NBA. In his 20 seasons in the grandest stage of basketball, LeBron has achieved it all after coming in as a high schooler with no college experience. However, the eldest of his three kids, Bronny James will have the chance to attend college and be the first James from his father’s side of the family to do so. The King could not be any prouder of the 18-year-old, who is set to join USC soon after graduating from Sierra Canyon high school and receiving a senior tribute.

Despite Bronny being a top-10 prospect for the 2024 NBA Draft, TNT analyst Kenny “the Jet” Smith recently highlighted his concern about the point guard’s possibility of making it to the NBA with so much pressure. “Stop! His son is at USC and he has to go through a process to possibly get into the NBA that is very hard to get to,” Smith said during a podcast appearance on BigBoyTV. “People forget—75 years of basketball…there’s only been 5,100 players that touch a floor.” However, the 19x All-Star is not fazed by these comments. Bronny’s proud father stands as a strong pillar for his son to look up to.
LeBron James is proud of Bronny James
From starting as a freshman with a scoring average of just over 4 points per game, 6ft 3′ two-way guard Bronny James has improved massively every year. In his senior year, he averaged 14.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.8 steals per game. He made it to the McDonald’s All-American team and had multiple offers from schools across the country, including Duke and Kentucky.
However, Bronny decided to join USC. Meanwhile, Sierra Canyon paid him a tribute with an Instagram post following his graduation from the LA high school.

LeBron James also shared the same as a story on his IG. You can see it in the following tweet by Stephen B Smith.

Not only Bronny, but LeBron’s son Bryce also looks good enough to make it to the NBA one day.
Bryce James would probably make it to the NBA too
It’s natural for former players to think that it’ll be difficult for a kid who grew up with everything at the tip of his fingers to make it big in the league. Kenny Smith isn’t totally wrong in his beliefs.
However, as of now, Bronny is good enough to play at least as a role player in any of the 30 NBA teams. Even Bryce James, who was a freshman at Sierra Canyon when his elder brother was in his senior year, looks good enough to make it to the NBA in due time.
We’ll have to see if we are lucky enough to watch the three James play together in the league one day. LeBron James wants it to happen more than anybody on this planet.
