‘Proud’ Shaquille O'Neal Celebrates LeBron James’ Son, Bronny James’ High School Graduation

Bronny James graduated from Sierra Canyon high school about a week ago. The NBA has been buzzing with anticipation for a long time to witness the father-son duo of King James and Bronny in action on the same court. Bronny’s graduation marks an important step in that journey as he prepares for his college stint with USC.

Like it is for any other student, the graduation ceremony was a big moment for the 18-year-old. LeBron James and Savannah James, who were beyond proud, expressed love for their firstborn by posting lovely images of the event on their Instagram. Sharing a post with Bronny’s graduation photo on his Instagram story, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal showed some love as well.

Shaq and LeBron shared the locker room during their 1-year stint as teammates for the Cleveland Cavaliers. During that 2009-2010 season, the two spent quite some time together and even had their children interacting with each other. Even years after the Diesel’s retirement from the league, the James kids and the O’Neal kids share a cordial relationship. While we’ve seen them posting about each other’s accomplishments on social media, back in 2018, they were even spotted together in a UCLA Bruins game.

Shaquille O’Neal congratulates Bronny James on his graduation day

Fan page @bryce_m_james posted a series of clips and photos of the event on Bronny’s graduation day. About a week after the ceremony took place, Shaquille O’Neal congratulated Bronny by sharing the post on his Instagram stories. Like King James, Shaq’s children have also made their mark as up-and-coming hoopers. The Diesel’s eldest son Shareef O’Neal plays for the NBA G-League Ignite, while his daughter Me’Arah O’Neal is a Top 50 NCAA prospect for 2024 and has already received offers from the likes of the LSU Tigers.

Now that his high school career has come to an end, Bronny will gear up to play college basketball at the University of Southern California. The 6-foot-3 guard, who was a four-star recruit coming out of high school, chose to play for the Trojans over Oregon, Ohio State, Kentucky, Michigan, and Memphis.

While James is the #5 guard in the country, USC has also managed to recruit Arrinten Page, Brandon Gardner, and the best player in the 2023 class – Isaiah Collier.

Apart from the four incoming freshmen, the Trojans already have a pretty stacked team with guards like Reese Dixon-Waters and Tre White on the team’s roster. A squad filled with big names, the Trojans will certainly be an entertaining team to keep an eye on during NCAA tournaments.

Shaq gifted LeBron James a $400,000 car as a birthday present

Shaq and Bron grew close during their only season as teammates in Cleveland. While the duo couldn’t deliver as per the hype, they did share a few beautiful moments on and off the court.

One of those moments involved the Big Aristotle spending $400,000 on a gift for the 6-foot-9 superstar’s 25th birthday. Back in 2009, O’Neal purchased a near half million dollar Rolls Royce Phantom for Bron as a birthday present.

After recording a 48-point performance in the Ohio-based franchise’s 106-101 win over the Atlanta Hawks, James received the gift from Shaq. While the duo couldn’t win a championship together, they do share a bond that has bound their families together to this day.
