LeBron James is aghast at some of the refereeing decisions that ultimately decided the game in the Lakers’ loss to Draymond Green last night.

The Lakers blew a 19-point lead to lose to the Warriors last night. None of the 3 MVP-level talents on court last night played particularly well. But Steph Curry was assertive, and this led to him getting more free throws than usual. Ultimately, a bench rally got them the lead in the 4th.

Both LeBron James and Anthony Davis shot terribly, going 6-of-16 from the field on the night. James had 19 points, while Davis had 17. Dennis Schroder was the top scorer for the Lakers with 25 on 8-of-15 shooting. Most of his points came in the first quarter.

Among the contentious decisions given by refs on the night was the one being discussed right now: travel calls. LeBron got called for 2 crucial travels in the 4th, leading to turnovers. Draymond, on the other hand, evaded the watchful eyes of the refs.

LeBron James is aghast that travel by Draymond Green went uncalled

James was expressive and colorful when talking to reporters about the calls in a postgame video conference:

“I don’t know. I seen ’em on replays, and it was the move I’ve been making pretty much my whole career. If that’s the call that’s gonna be called travel, then I’d like to see it across the whole board. Every game, consistent like that.”

“I think at times, including myself, we settled for the perimeter shot in transition instead of attacking to the rim. But we’ve been pretty good at that all year, and … we would love to be in transition more but you gotta get stops to be in transition. And in the fourth quarter, they did a good job of not allowing us to get too many stops.”
